Reinforcing the scientific excellence and innovation capacity in polymer processing technologies of the Faculty of Polymer Technology

Project acronym: IPPT_TWINN

Program: Horizon Europe

Goal: The main goal of the project is to increase the knowledge and competences of FTPO in the field of polymer materials processing  through joint research work and organization of various events/activities, such as workshops, summer schools, expert visits, conferences, etc.

Goal of the research part of the project: To develop a hybrid technology that allows the production of high-performance composite structures with a thermoplastic matrix that can be recycled (combines T-RTM, injection molding and additive manufacturing, within the production of a single part).

Partners:

  • Faculty of Polymer Technology
  • Polymer Competence Center Leoben GmbH - PCCL (Austria)
  • AITIIP Technology Center (Spain)
  • Budapest University of Technology and Economics - BME (Hungary)
  • IWK Institut für Werkstofftechnik und Kunststoffverarbeitung – associated partner (Switzerland)

Lead partner: Faculty of Polymer Technology

Project coordinator: Assoc. Prof. Dr. Blaž Nardin

Leader of work package 1: Assoc. Prof. Dr. Miroslav Huskić

Duration of the project: 1. 1. 2023 – 31. 12. 2025
