ERASMUS + STUDENT FROM SKOPJE JOINED VIRTUAL STUDY AT FTPO

A bilateral agreement signed in 2020 with the Ss. Cyril and Methodius University in Skopje  (Ss. Cyril and Methodius University, Faculty of Mechanical Engineering), Republic of North Macedonia, bore fruit this year. In the summer semester of 2021, a master's student from Skopje, Monika Fidanchevska, joined the study process at FTPO. Due to the current situation, she started her Erasmus+ mobility remotely and, like all students at the beginning, attended selected subjects via the MS Teams application. Due to her lack of knowledge of the Slovene language, we provided her individual consultations by proffesors of selected subjects, the possibility of performing study obligations in English and the constant support of Erasmus + coordinator Sara Jeseničnik.

We wish, as well as the student herself, that we will soon be able to host her in the premises of our faculty.

We asked Monika Fidanchevska to share with us her virtual experience of Erasmus + mobility:

"Discovering a new culture and language, meeting new people and improving my skills are some of the most valuable things that I have acquired during my Erazmus + experience. During the past few months, even though virtually I had possibility to be closer to the beautiful Slovenian nature and to gain knowledge from the interesting courses that I attended. This international experience helped me feel like a global citizen. Being part of Faculty of Polymer Technology, which is internationally recognized academic institution tightly linked with the economic sector improved my professional development and inspired me to dive deeper in one of the most significant fields in engineering, globally. The strong expertise of professors has had a strong impact on my way of learning new things and pursuing research in cutting-edge topics.

Looking forward to many more new experiences."

Monika Fidanchevska
