LCA analysis is the leading method for evaluating the environmental impact of a product. It plays an important role in the design and development of new products and the monitoring of existing ones. The LCA analysis also determines the carbon footprint of the product. Life cycle analysis examines the impact of products on the environment over the entire life cycle, which means that they analyze their impacts from raw materials production, through the production and use of products, and to the disposal of used products by recycling or disposal.

The effect of products on the environment is determined by:

• gathering data on all raw materials and the amount of energy consumed during the life of the product, as well as data on the amount of emissions into water, air and soil released to the environment throughout the life cycle of the product,
• assessment evaluation of environmental impacts,
• proper interpretation of the results.
