Lyophilizer (Christ Alpha 1-4)
The lyophilizer is an apparatus to carry out the lyophilization process. Water from biological and organic substances is removed, which would be damaged by heating, while at the same time preserving their structure and composition. The lyophilization is based on freezing of water, followed by pressure reduction and the addition of a sufficient amount of heat so that the frozen water in the material sublimes directly from solid to gaseous aggregate state. The process is slow and consumes 3 times more energy than conventional drying, so we use it only for sensitive and expensive products.
